Q: What if I am sick and have to miss class?
A: If your sickness only spans one class date, notify your professor
and make sure that you have proper documentation in order to be able to make up
any missed work.
If you have a prolonged sickness, please contact Charlene at 862-3001 and she will
help you notify the Department of Student Life
Q: Does a “D” transfer?
A: The short answer…yes! D = done (even in core classes) But not
on classes within your major!
Q: What is an elective?
A: See your advisor to identify electives for your degree plan
Q: What courses transfer to A&M
A: Always check your Undergraduate Catalog to find the Texas Common Course Numbering System. Those are the only, 100%
definite, courses that will transfer.

Q: What is a substitution?
A: Sometimes, classes you have already taken and are not being used elsewhere may substitute for another class. You must see an advisor and it is always
on his/her discretion
Q: How can I declare my minor?
A: Call the department that you are interested in obtaining your
minor from and see if they require you to see one of their advisors or if there
is any paper work to complete.
Q: What is Scholastic Probation?
A: Scholastic Probation occurs when your GPR slips below a 2.0.
You will be notified of your probation terms (what you have to make the next semester
in order for your probation to end) by letter. If you do not meet probation terms,
you may be dismissed by the department and be required to transfer to another department or university.
