GOAL: |

To develop experience and scholarly competence among faculty and students, provide
service, and foster involvement in activities that enhance agricultural development
and agricultural education in the international arena. |

Who comprises the workgroup?
Faculty, graduate students, and selected upper division undergraduate students interested
in, concerned about, working in, or preparing to work in different settings in international
agricultural development and education. Faculty with mutual interests from areas
other than agricultural education often participate in the workgroup.
Countries in which departmental faculty have work experience include: Belize, Bhutan,
Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, India,
Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Russia, and
Saudi Arabia.
Countries that departmental faculty have visited for professional reasons (such
as taking graduate classes to study national and international agricultural development
organizations, to supervise research of graduate students, to make presentations
at international conferences, to study agricultural and educational issues, etc.)
include Cameroon, The Dominican Republic, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Ireland, Jamaica,
Japan, Korea, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Swaziland, The
Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, and Vietnam
